Role Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate IT/OT Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in automation systems, with hands-on experience in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated equipment and machinery. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining system reliability, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring safety compliance

  • Fulfill all contractual support plan obligations, including preventive maintenance, patch management services, and break-fix support, to guarantee the continued reliability and functionality of computer-controlled systems in industrial and commercial facilities.
  • Provide Customer Phone Support Services: Clarify customer issues, track all open cases, leverage available resources to resolve concerns, maintain regular communication on issue status, escalate when necessary, and follow up to ensure timely resolution of all issues.
  • Assist with Support Plan Spares Management: Proactively ensure an adequate inventory of spares is maintained to meet support plan obligations, manage associated costs, track and label spare assets, monitor turnaround times, conduct periodic audits, process spares for repair/exchange, and test repaired/exchanged spares for functionality.
  • Perform System Maintenance and Warranty Support: Conduct general computer maintenance, including security updates, upgrades, diagnostics, and data backups for DCS workstations and servers (primarily Dell), following Emerson Automation Solutions guidelines, while also providing warranty support for Dell servers and workstations.
  • Troubleshoot DCS Control Systems: Diagnose and resolve issues at the network, controller, and I/O levels to efficiently address customer problems and ensure continuous system operation.
  • Support Customer Contracts and On-Call Duty: Assist with customer contracts for 24/7 emergency response and preventive maintenance, with after-hours emergencies occurring typically once per month or less. Provide on-call support on a rotating weekly basis.
  • Travel: Occasionally overnight, to customer sites.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum requirements associate degree in a related field or 2 or more years of relevant experience working with DCS or PLC process control systems.
  • DCS or PLC platform knowledge or troubleshooting experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer hardware troubleshooting and Microsoft OS knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Dell computers and server hardware is preferred.
  • A motivated self-starter mindset with a collaborative attitude, eager to take initiative, solve problems independently, and work seamlessly within a team to achieve shared goals and drive success.

Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

This position has a starting annual salary between $65,000 and $80,000 based on level of previous experience. In addition, this position will be eligible for a variable incentive plan.
